In addition to hosting the New Harmonies Smithsonian Exhibit at the Java Goddess Cafe (200 North Main), visitors will also be treated to similar exhibit, but focused on local musical exhibits that have evolved over time in the Northeast portion of Missouri. Exhibit such as the origination of the mid 1800 song Sweet Betsy from Pike, a song that was written about a former Pike County resident. These local exhibits will be hosted at the Vandalia Area History Museum, located at 112 South Main.
